Pirin Golf & Country Club is an international 5 stars resort, situated in the beautiful Razlog valley, in the foothills of Pirin Mountains in South-West Bulgaria. The resort features two golf courses – a Ian Woosnam designed 18-holes championship (par 72) course and a second course – The Pirin Pine Course, designed by a young German company. The golf club infrastructure includes a driving range and short game practice area, golf academy, half-way house and a state-of-the-art club house with members’ area, proshop, locker rooms, restaurant and bars.

Job Description: To carry out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the First Assistant, in accordance with the Club’s Golf Course Maintenance Policy, its Health and Safety Policy and the Greenkeepers Code of Conduct.

Duties and responsibilities:

Monitor and Maintain health, safety and security in the workplace
Training and controlling the greenkeepers to cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
Training and controlling the greenkeepers mow banks, rough, semi rough, surrounds and approaches, tees, greens, fairways
Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.
Training and controlling the greenkeepers to switch and brush greens
Apply top dressing and fertilizer
Identify and control pests and diseases
Renovate worn and damaged turf
Treating and performing maintenance necessary to encourage continued growth and health of lawns.
Performing or guiding the performance to repair or maintenance water features or removal of bunkers.
Cleaning and removal of dew from grounds from the early morning continuing throughout the day.
Replacing lawns or repairing damage caused by golfers, weather or animals.
Keeping the grass cut to healthy levels.
Performing maintenance as required on landscaping tools and machinery.
Diplomatically without damage to relationships, guiding golfers on their role in the maintenance of a golf course.
Providing recommendations to owners or investors on updated techniques and new advancements in technology.

Scarifying/verti cutting turf
Aerating turf
Applying nutrition, top dressing
Repairing divots
Irrigating turf
Identifying and controlling weeds
Identifying and controlling pests
Identifying grasses on the golf course
Marking of hazards, out of bounds and ground under repair
Training the team of greenkeepers. Assistant to the Head greenkeeper. Control and check the job done by the staff if necessary to train them.
